Hot Club Pacific (HCP) is the premier Acoustic Swing Ensemble in the Monterey Bay area. Specializing in the music of Django Reinhardt, Benny Goodman, Count Basie and the gems, chestnuts and rarities from the Great American Songbook, Hot Club Pacific has been entertaining audiences up and down the West Coast for nearly 20 years.

Hot Club Pacific has made numerous radio and television appearances, and has contributed to a motion picture soundtrack. Hot Club Pacific has performed at nearly every major Django Reinhardt Festival in the United States.


Hot Club Pacific was formed in 2005. The core of the band includes Marc Schwartz, (guitar,) Jack Fields (guitar,) and bassist Joe Dollister. The trio is often joined by drummer Olaf Schiappacasse and clarinetist Dale Mills. On occasion, you'll see the Godfather of American Gypsy Swing, Paul Mehling, sitting in! Hot Club Pacific even opened for the legendary Joan Baez.
