Jazzbos 3

This fun, swinging trio (featuring guitar, sax, clarinet, percussion, and fabulous vocals) will capture you with its heart and soul. Mellow, yet engaging, Jazzbos 3 features an eclectic repertoire. Though their songlist leans heavily on timeless jazz standards, and 60s and 70s pop, don't be too surprised to hear a bit of twang or some sultry blues in there as well. By turns hypnotic, gutsy, and sweet, Jazzbos 3's melange of styles and sounds will soothe and uplift your spirits.

Andrea Carter's sultry vocals (vocals, guitar and percussion) caress the jazzy ballads. Darrin Michell's hot licks (lead guitar) bring a blues and rock sensibility to the trio. And Ben Herod provides the delicious spice with his tasteful melodic riffs on sax, clarinet and percussion, sometimes all three at once!

Andrea and Darrin have been performing together at clubs, restaurants, corporate events and weddings since 1995. Several years ago, Ben joined them experimentally, and it was love at first note. They've been performing together ever since.

Jazzbos 3 has a local following at Carmel's famed Cypress Inn's Sunday Brunch, where they've been delighting audiences for years.

Jazzbos are also available as a duo with Andrea and Ben.

"(Andrea is) a little Diana Krall and Norah Jones mixture … and a great sounding group all together."
Mike C.

Whenever we are on the Monterey Peninsula (about 6 times a year), the first thing we do is get the schedule for Andrea's group so we can plan our evenings around really great jazzy music. They always play popular spots, and get the hot events with a really fun crowd."
A. K., Kansas City
