Laurent Fourgo Ensemble

Laurent Fourgo Ensemble

Jazz

Laurent Fourgo and his Ensemble have been charming music lovers all over the Bay Area with their sweet, jazzy sound.

The Ensemble (duo, trio, quartet, quintet, or sextet) is comprised of seasoned professional musicians from San Francisco and the Bay Area: vocals, piano, upright bass, drums, guitar, accordion, tenor sax, alto sax, soprano sax, clarinet, flute and trumpet.

Even as a child growing up in Paris, France, vocalist and band leader Laurent Fourgo exhibited a passion for music. He learned to sing almost every Elvis song, prior to actually learning to speak English and knowing the meaning of the words.

It was this passion for American music (Elvis and many others), combined with a longing for the 'American dream' , that led him to set his sights on the US and move to San Francisco in 1996.

Having been the vocalist and leader of a band in France, putting together a group to perform in the US came very naturally to Laurent.

He has been performing in various bands for the last 10 years. Transitioning from Rock 'n' Roll, Blues, Rhythm and Blues to Jazz, Laurent's repertoire pays tribute to some of the great American vocalists (such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and Nat King Cole) who inspired him in his youth.

Laurent sings these familiar classic songs with such passion, the words and melodies will touch your heart as if you were hearing them for the very first time.

Laurent Fourgo and his Ensemble present a delightful representation of the history of the great Jazz standards. Melody, sincerity and passion characterize this band that will ignite the atmosphere of your event!
