The World's Funniest Waiter

Rick Lewis

Rick Lewis' The Comedy Waiter is perfect entertainment for events, which include dining and / or cocktails. For such a function, Rick establishes himself as a server, coordinating his attire to exactly what the existing catering or venue staff are wearing, and begins as The Waiter, filling water glasses for guests.

Once established in the minds of the guests as a bonafide server,
The Waiter begins displaying conspicuously out of character behaviors, which become more outrageous as the evening progresses. Filling water glasses to the very top, knocking silverware onto the floor, getting caught on a purse strap on the back of a chair, tripping over a table leg, banging his head on the underside of a table while retrieving a dropped item, and finally, executing full prat falls in the aisles with trays of unbreakable items that make big sounds are all ways that The Waiter becomes the object of conversation and attention. Near the end of this portion of Rick's routine, some people are catching on, while others are still thinking The Waiter is a real life server having a very bad day.

To insure that the ordinary operations of wait staff are not interrupted, Rick arranges for the catering/banquet manager to brief the rest of his/her staff, so everyone who is key to the smooth running of the actual event is not distracted by the performance.

Finally, Rick emerges triumphantly on his six foot unicycle with the water jug in one hand and a white towel over one arm and proceeds to wheel around filling water glasses with precision. The crowd roars and cheers in delight upon realizing that they have been fooled, and everything is perfectly planned and under control after all.

As a transition from
The Comedy Waiter routine to Rick's headline performance, Rick can perform table to table close-up magic as an additional set before his main show if time allows.

Rick's finale is a riveting cascade of non-stop action and entertainment anchored by unicycling, juggling, acrobatics and physical comedy. The show is tight, clean, one-of-a-kind, and packed with skills, including a twelve-foot unicycle routine that is world renowned. A rubber-faced silent clown who superbly integrates the biting verbal humor of a comic on the edge, Rick weaves old-fashioned vaudeville, the expertise of circus, and participatory theatre into a captivating, feel-good thriller.

“I have coordinated many events in the past, but never have I experienced the "Rick Lewis" experience. The entire room was in tears with laughter. Very few comedians can captivate every single soul in the audience and keep the act tasteful and politically correct."

"Your comedy waiter routine and the entertaining show which you performed has already become legendary. One of our group had to leave the room three times she was so consumed with laughter."
