Andrea's Fault

Serving up an irresistible mix of pop, rock, jazz standards, blues and folk, Andrea Carter and Darrin Michell have been delighting audiences throughout the Monterey Bay area for over 30 years. This engaging duo's repertoire includes artists from the 20s through the 70s such as Frank Sinatra, Tom Waits, Hank Williams, Bessie Smith, Diana Krall and Carole King. Andrea’s strong rhythm guitar perfectly complements Darrin’s tasty lead guitar. Known for their rich harmonies, they take turns trading off on lead vocals.
 
For a lively, upbeat trio, Andrea trades her guitar for a drum kit, and they add Rick Chelew on stand-up bass and backing vocals, giving them an even richer and more soulful presence. Known for their wide-ranging repertoire, this configuration plays everything from swinging jazz standards to blues, rock, and ballads, including songs from Nat King Cole, Cole Porter, The Rolling Stones, The Drifters, Jimmy Reed, Mose Allison, and Bessie Smith.

For an even bigger sound, they can either add piano or sax for a swingin' quartet!
