Doug Hofkins

Doug Hofkins, a.k.a. the "Surfing Magician" has been performing comedy magic shows all over the Monterey Bay Area for more than 15 years. He consistently amazes and amuses crowds of all ages with his unique tricks, traits, and interesting storylines. Doug performs for audiences of all ages, and is as equally skilled at performing interactive close-up magic to a crowd of a select few as he is performing a full stage show for hundreds in a theater. Doug's show is an ever-evolving experience that is guaranteed entertainment for all involved.

Doug particularly enjoys performing shows that entertain and inspire children of all ages. He has performed his magic show at school assemblies, daycares, school carnivals, classroom parties, summer camps, libraries, sporting events, birthday parties, and more. Doug has received commendations from school principals for his ability to talk to children about character-building and the importance of doing well in school. Motivational themes are: respect, responsibilities, self-esteem, and setting high goals.

Doug's thrilling one-hour magic show engages the crowd with illusions and slight-of-hand that incorporate floating objects, coins, card tricks, live animals, spectacular visuals, and lots of interactive audience participation. When performing for a child's birthday party, Doug will create a magic rabbit from thin air, and after the grand finale, the kids are welcome to see and pet the rabbit, which creates great photo opportunities and unforgettable memories that last for a lifetime.
