Hailing from California's Monterey
Bay, Microtonic Harmonic is all about one thing: playing fun, feel
good music for all ages to enjoy.
Though firmly rooted in traditional bluegrass, the quartet of string
bass, mandolin, banjo, and guitar is not afraid to venture out into
various musical styles including Gypsy-Jazz, Funk, Folk, Celtic,
and original Alternative-Acoustic creations. Sweet harmonies, fast
hoe-downs, and soulful ballads characterize Microtonic Harmonic's
ever expanding sound.
Whether you are looking for entertainment for a party, club, community
event, or dance, Microtonic Harmonic is the answer.
Microtonic Harmonic is: Evan Francis, guitar and vocals; David Holodiloff,
mandolin and vocals; John Klein, string bass and vocals; and Gene
Mason, banjo and vocals.

"Microtonic Harmonic played my wedding, though it would be a disservice
to classify them as a "wedding band." Their repertoire is broad
and they have original material and musicianship that vastly surpasses
the tired stereotype of a "wedding band." Our venue was intimate,
and the all-acoustic sound suited it perfectly. The weather was
actually quite bitter, with a cold coastal wind raking the grounds.
Regardless, the band setup on the leeward side of one of the buildings
and pretty soon they had dozens of people dancing, forgetting all
about the wind. Lots guests asked, "Who are these guys, they're
great!" The song selection flowed and great energy was maintained.
The band was connected to the audience and vice versa. Important
things like being on time, being prepared, and communications before
and during the event were flawless. I highly recommend them for
events, and even more so just as a source for great live music.
No "event" is required, because a Microtonic show IS an event."

"Everyone around our school has
loved the music! Thank you very much."
