Jazz Guitar, Jump Blues and Swing
Guitar playing is Gil Cadilli's passion.
His jazzy edge and attitude recall some of the innovators of the
genre, such as Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, and Kenny Burrell.
Gil played guitar and bass for blues legend Charlie Musselwhite
for a period of six years on club dates and festivals at home and
abroad, and has shared the stage with Los Lobos, The Fabulous Thunderbirds,
Bonnie Raitt, David Lindley, Chris Isaak, Bo Diddley, and many more.
Gil also served El Teatro Campesino as resident musical director
in 18 productions and workshops.
This smooth and elegant guitarist (available as a solo, duo, or
trio -- add bass and drums) offers a soulful presentation of blues
and jazz with a unique twist on traditional standards and popular
music. From rollicking original material to upbeat renditions of
classics by Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Wes Montgomery, Nat King
Cole, T-Bone Walker and more; his solid talent adds style and panache
to any event.
