Jennifer Cass began her harp studies
at U. C. San Diego, and went on to earn her masters degree in Harp
Performance at the Eastman School of Music. She won the 1992 UCSC
Concerto competition and performed Tailleferre's Concertino pour
Harpe as well as Ravel's Tzigane.
Ms. Cass performs regularly with UCSC faculty and ensembles, Santa
Cruz New Music Works, Cabrillo Stage, Santa Cruz Chamber Players
and has been a featured soloist with Ensemble Monterey. She has
also appeared with the San Jose, Santa Cruz County and Fremont Symphonies.
"Harpist Cass and the orchestra provided a truly impressive performance...playing
with calm concentration, Cass spilled out the harp's undulating
ripples with keen clarity and precision."
