The Bolero Brothers' entrancing combination
of exquisite Mexican Jalisco harp and heavenly guitar creates passionate,
delightful music from and for the heart.
Jim Gonzales, second generation from Valencia, Spain, lets his Spanish
heart come through in his clean, distinctive flamenco guitar stylings.
Mike Culver-Zebedis of Hungarian decent allows his gypsy spirit
to flow through his Jalisco harp strings. Hand crafted in Guadalajara
by Ruben Morales Anguiano, its exotic sound captivates the listener.
Together, the Bolero Brothers bring passion to traditional Mexican,
Spanish and South American music, as well as contemporary selections.
Their artistry is reflected in their unique interpretations of standards
and originals. Their repertoire covers the gamut from classic romantic
ballads, calypsos, and rhumbas to fiery flamenco dance. They also
intersperse a selection of contemporary artists' material (such
as Santana, Michael Jackson, Sting, The Beach Boys, Shania Twain,
Brian Adams, The Beatles, and Jimmy Buffet) which allows the audience
"song recognition," contributing to their thorough enjoyment of
the performance.
"Lively," "Very pleasing," "Passionate," and "Romantic"
are all adjectives that happy clients have used to describe The
Bolero Brothers' sound. Mike and Jim's lovely music will add a sophisticated
elegance to any event.
With the addition of percussion, The Bolero Brothers can also be
a trio. For more intimate occasions, Michael is delighted to play
(Jalisco harp) as a solo act. He is also available as a traditional
harpist.
