Taelen plays Mark Twain at the age
of fifty, recalling how he grew up alongside the Mississippi River
and eventually earned his license to pilot a steamboat between St.
Louis and New Orleans in the 1850s.
First, he had to find just the right teacher to "learn him the river"
upstream and downstream, in sunlight and shadow, in different kinds
of moonlight, starlight, pitch dark, rain, and fog.
This show is full of good laughs and good lessons.
