Marionette Theatre

Ranka's Musical Revue: This beautiful and entertaining extravaganza covers a wide range of musical genres -- from rock to opera! This show is appropriate for kindergarten through grade eight and has been rated by hundreds of schools as one of their favorite assemblies.

The performance includes Ranka's popular puppet-making demonstration, which shows students how to create their own wonderful puppets with easy-to-find, recyclable materials.

Ranka Gatu is from Sweden and she trained with two of Europe's master puppeteers. In 1970 Ranka began creating her own shows and performing for school children in Europe. She has performed extensively in America since 1978 -- including shows sponsored by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Open House at the Hollywood Bowl.
